Cookie Policy

Last updated 31 July 2026

This policy explains how Tyred uses cookies and similar technologies on our website, the categories we use, and how you can control them.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, to remember your choices, and to help site owners understand how their site is used.

Your choice comes first

We only set non-essential cookies after you agree to them. When you first visit, analytics and marketing cookies are turned off by default, and we load them only if you choose “Accept all” or turn them on in your cookie preferences. Strictly necessary cookies do not need consent because the site cannot work without them.

We do not sell your personal data. Optional cookies are for our own analytics and for Google Ads - measuring which ads led you here, improving those ads, and showing relevant ads about Tyred - when you allow them.

Privacy-friendly analytics without cookies

To understand how our site is used and improve it, we run privacy-friendly analytics that set no cookies and store nothing on your device. The analytics are designed to avoid identifying individual visitors and do not use persistent identifiers. They are not linked across visits, and we do not store your IP address. Because they work this way, we rely on our legitimate interests rather than asking for your consent.

If you turn on analytics cookies, we can measure in more detail - for example recognising you across visits, linking activity to your account when you are signed in, and recording on-page sessions to spot usability problems, with form fields masked.

The categories we use

Strictly necessary

These keep the site working: signing you in, keeping your session secure, balancing traffic across our servers, and remembering your cookie choice. They are always active.

Analytics

By default we use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics (PostHog) that measure how our pages and features are used without setting cookies or persistent identifiers, and without storing your IP address. With your consent, we enable fuller analytics - cookie-based PostHog that recognises you across visits, plus Google Analytics (via Google Tag Manager) - along with on-page session recordings that help us find usability problems, with form fields masked so we do not capture what you type. PostHog stores this data in the European Union. No analytics cookies are set until you allow this.

Marketing

With your consent, we use Google Ads cookies (via Google Tag Manager) so we can measure which of our ads led you to the site, improve those ads, and show relevant ads about Tyred. This may include features such as Enhanced Conversions and remarketing audiences. No marketing cookies are set until you allow this.

Remembering your choice

We store your cookie choice in a cookie named tyred_cookie_consent so we do not have to ask you on every visit. It records which categories you allowed and is kept for up to 90 days, after which we will ask you again.

Changing your choice

You can change your choice at any time using the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer of any page. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as well if you do.

More about your data

For how we handle personal data more generally, see our Privacy Policy.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. The version published here is the version that applies.
