A bike workshop that comes to your door in Nottingham
No pushing the bike up the hill to a shop, no waiting days for a slot.
Nottingham sits on low hills above the Trent, so a ride that starts flat along the river climbs as soon as it turns north towards Mapperley or St Ann's. The Big Track, a 10-mile waterside loop from Trent Bridge to Beeston Lock, passes the City Ground, Trent Bridge cricket ground, Nottingham station and Castle Marina. We come to a front door in West Bridgford, Lenton, Wollaton or Hyson Green, to a workplace in the city centre, or to a rack at one of the council's Cycle Parks, such as Nottingham Station on Station Street, Broad Marsh and the QMC tram stop. Tell us which rack and the mechanic meets you there.
The University of Nottingham's University Park campus in NG7 and Nottingham Trent's city campus put two large student populations on bikes, and Lime runs 1,300 hire e-bikes across every city ward in partnership with the council. Hire bikes are Lime's to fix; your own bike is ours. Nottingham City Council's Travel Well community bike library lends e-bikes, adapted bikes and cargo bikes to residents free of charge, and charges their batteries in two PowerShelter lockers, the same lockers Tyred supplies to UK buildings and fleets. We do the mechanical work on e-bikes at the door, including Bosch, Shimano STEPS, Fazua and Brose systems, and diagnose motor and battery faults first, referring them to an authorised centre if they are outside scope.
Nottingham's trams do not carry bikes unless they are folded, so a breakdown on the way to a tram stop cannot be fixed by hopping on the tram. Book the repair at the rack instead. Police open data records 754 bicycle thefts in the Nottingham urban area in the twelve months to July 2026, with September to November the busiest months. Lock through the frame to something solid each time you leave the bike, use one of the council's covered, lit Cycle Parks where you can, and register the frame number on BikeRegister so the bike can be traced if it is recovered.
